The Ushers assist in keeping order during the worship services. Ushers also greet and seat worship attendees comfortably and expeditiously. The Mission of the Usher’s Ministry is to meet and greet all who enter the sanctuary for service with hospitality and a warm smile ensuring that each member and visitor receives the necessary supplies (programs, envelopes etc.) for worship. Ushers assist everyone with seating and ensure their comfort while in the house of the LORD. The usher carries out the offertory as directed.The usher not only represents Christ but also the Union Missionary Baptist Church Family individuals with the gifts of welcome and hospitality are best suited for this ministry. Union Usher Ministry also attends approximately 20 annual usher anniversaries a year.
